Our professional pet stylist, Marcie Lee takes pride in her work, and it shows. She specializes in all breeds of dogs and cats.
Not only does regular grooming make your pet look and feel great; it can also help to identify potential health problems in their early stages. At AnimaLodge, your pet's health and wellbeing are of the utmost importance. We use state of the art equipment. Our dryers are heated and cooled for your pets' comfort.
For the protection of all our guests, grooming pets are subject to the same vaccination requirements as those who are lodging. This includes rabies, distemper, and bordetella for dogs and rabies, feline distemper, and feline leukemia for cats. If necessary, we can update vaccinations at the time of drop-off through our Pet Hospital.
Appointments are required. Please feel free to stop by any time to see our facility or call to schedule an appointment. We can also arrange grooming with your dog or cat's next lodging stay.
We would like to welcome AnimaLodge’s newest member of the grooming department. Marcie comes to us from a very eclectic background. Being an animal lover at heart she grew up showing horses and was active in her Local FFA Chapter. She continued following her passion and attended Rocky Mountain College’s Equestrian program, where she graduated Magna Cum Laude with her Bachelor of Science in Equestrian Business. Following college Marcie joined the AnimaLodge team for a short time, before personal circumstances forced a move to Wyoming. It was this first experience with day camp, grooming and boarding that piqued Marcie’s interest in small animal husbandry and made her want to further pursue a career in Canine Cosmetology. Living in Wyoming gave Marcie the opportunity to apprentice under Jenni Nieft (Gussied Up Grooming – Douglas, WY); working with Jenni clarified for Marcie that grooming was definitely a passion. Soon after her daughter, Reata, was born Marcie decided to attend grooming school in Loveland, Colorado where she was under the tutelage of Jennie Smith (Dogs Own Grooming Salon & School – Loveland, Colorado). After grooming school Marcie apprenticed at a salon in Billings where she fine-tuned her skills and prepared to open her own business in Douglas, Wyoming. Marcie opened Bubbles Poochie Dos and was the owner/operator for 2 years. In this time frame Marcie attended many dog grooming seminars, worked with National Certified Master Groomers and continued to refine her skills and build her business. She sold the business in 2012 to pursue an opportunity to work onboard small cruise ships. Marcie has been sailing all over the US, Canada and Central America and has decided it is time to put down some roots and return home to spend more time with family and focus on her true calling; working with our 4-legged pals and their parents.
Marcie is elated to be dusting off her clippers and joining the Animal Lodge Team! She enjoys everything from de-shedding a lab to hand scissoring a bichon to hand- stripping a terrier. “Pet grooming is a very rewarding career and there is nothing like the smile on an owners face when they pick up their baby and see them with their fresh new do”. When Marcie isn’t at AnimaLodge you can find her hiking and road tripping with her little dog, Tilly and Daughter Reata. Montana is home for Marcie and she is ecstatic to be back and to be able to share her love for Montana and animals with us. We invite you to come in and chat with Marcie and see what she can do for you and your fur babies.
